With so much talk, worry, and upheaval about CPSIA (the new law passed that affects every product manufactured for children under the age of 12) there has been a lot of misinformation going around. As the upcoming deadline of 2/10/09 approaches talk about CPSIA is hitting the airwaves, local tv, national publications, and the internet like a storm. There are small pockets of informed groups kicking up the dirt in DC with petitions and letters, but still too many are not informed, including retailers and manufacturers. Today Forbes has a fantastic article that is well worth reading. It is a quick summary of what is happening with no sugar coating. This is a good place to start if you want to understand the basic effects of the new law.
